Lonestar Sports Recruits was created to help student-athletes pursue their dreams of playing collegiate sports. Sports recruiting is a task that student-athletes and parents often find daunting. First, most families think that high school coaches will play a big role in the recruiting process by being an advocate for the athletes that play for them. Secondly, families also think that large number of college coaches will come breaking down their doors to recruit student-athletes. Realistically, neither of those two events are prevalent in the recruiting process. It is known that about 2% of student-athletes will be highly recruited while the other 98% of student-athletes are likely under-recruited or not recruited at all. Therefore, if a student-athlete is looking to play at the next level, it is up to the athlete and their family to be proactive in the recruiting process.
